Music in Colour #2

  • Orange Regional Gallery 149 Byng Street Orange, NSW, 2800 Australia (map)

Experience the magic of Music in Colour, an inspiring series that brings together the Friends of the Orange Regional Gallery, Orange Regional Conservatorium, and the Gallery itself to celebrate art and music in fresh, immersive ways.

This concert series, held within the Gallery, beautifully intertwines visual art and live music, with each performance by the Conservatorium's talented musicians responding to the current exhibition.

Join us for the second concert, as our musicians, James Buchanan (Guitar), Stephanie Li (cello) and Jacob Pickett (Drums) interpret Peter Godwin: Space, Light and Time, drawing connections between sound, space, and light.

Rather than a traditional concert, this is a unique opportunity to wander through the exhibition, exploring the artwork while enveloped in a live, ambient soundtrack currated by James Buchanan. The musicians encourage you to move freely, allowing the soundscape to guide your journey through. Let the music and art intertwine, creating a layered experience that connects sight and sound in a way that’s both spontaneous and deeply engaging. Your ticket includes light refreshments, and every dollar raised goes toward enhancing the Gallery's collection with new acquisitions.
