AMEB Workshop Day has been designed to be a fun, supportive, and super practical session designed to help you walk into your exam feeling relaxed, prepared, and proud.
Led by an expert team of ORC staff, AMEB examiners and guest tutors, this workshop gives every student the chance to:
Run through their full exam program
Receive feedback and tricks and tips for teachers
Build confidence in aural skills, general knowledge, scales, and more
Whether you're polishing your final performance or just need a boost before the big day, this is your chance to prep like a pro and have some fun while you're at it!
1 x ticket needed per student for the entire day. Students will be split into instrument groups for performance classes.
NOTE: As this is an all day workshop, students will need to bring their own morning tea and lunch.

AMEB Comprehensive exam students - prelim to grade 4
9am-10am Scales
10am-11am General Knowledge
11am-11:30am Morning tea
11:30am – 1:30pm Performance Class 1*
11:30am-12:30pm Aural Skills 1
12:30pm-1:30pm Sight Reading 1
1:30pm-2pm Lunch
2pm-4pm Performance Class 2*
2pm – 3pm Aural Skills 2
3pm – 4pm Sight Reading 2
*Each student will get the opportunity to run their entire exam program with an accompanist for the teachers. Bring a copy of your piano accompaniment if you require this for your performance. It will be split into at least 2 sessions to allow for everyone to have a turn. Those not participating in the performance class will attend an Aural Skills and a Sight Reading class. An overflow class is available the following day if there is the demand. Great to both listen to our peers and have a chance to run their exam from top to bottom.

Getting ready for your AMEB Repertoire Exam? Join us for a one-day-only workshop these holidays with ORC Head of Strings Stephanie Li. You'll have the chance to perform your full program and receive written feedback to help you prepare and feel confident. Bring piano accompaniment music if you need it and ORC Head of Piano Alexey Yemtsov will be on hand to work with you!
A perfect way to settle the nerves and gain valuable exam experience before the big day!
Prelim to grade 4 (9am - 12pm)
Grade 5+ (1pm - 5pm)
Students can book a ticket which will be their allotted time. Treat this like your exam. Students come and do a mock exam for 30min in their booked time, and then leave.
