Australian Army Band Concert | CANCELLED

  • Orange Regional Conservatorium 73A Hill Street Orange, NSW, 2800 Australia (map)

Unfortunately due to COVID concerns and the isolation status of several band members we have cancelled the performance by the Australian Army Band.

It was a difficult decision however after careful consideration we believe it's in the best interest of the attendees, organisers, and all those involved.

We apologise for any inconvenience.

Thank you for your support and understanding!

Kind Regards,
Orange Regional Conservatorium

The Australian Army Band’s mission is to enhance the public image of the Army through community engagement, and to maintain morale and Esprit de Corps by providing musical support and entertainment to Army activities in barracks, on exercises, and on deployment. Its operational role is to entertain troops deployed overseas into an operational environment and as a part of this role the Band performs for the local community in those operational areas. As an integral part of Army’s community engagement program, the band also contributes substantially to the civilian community by providing support to charitable and philanthropic events and school music education programs.

The Australian Army Band Sydney (AAB-S) is one of the 5 full time military bands of the Australian Army. In addition to marching in military parades, the band also operates as a big band, a rock band, a pep band, a jazz band, and acoustic group and many more variations depending on the task.

Members of the band are selected to represent Australia and the Army at significant international events including military tattoos and Anzac and Remembrance ceremonies and commemorations. Other recent international trips have seen members deploy to the Middle East and throughout the Indo-Pacific region to entertain troops and engage with our foreign neighbours.
