Orange Regional Conservatorium is the leading provider of accessible high quality, diverse music education and experiences in the Orange region. Supported by the Department of Education and Communities to promote and implement quality school music programs to all ages, and delivered by experienced, qualified professional musicians and educators.

The ORC provides music programs in many district schools, each tailor-made to enhance the creative and cognitive outcomes for students while supporting and enhancing each school’s unique culture.

We seamlessly integrate with your schools educational outcomes, in part by providing qualified music teachers to deliver K-6 Classroom Music Programs. These programs have a proven record of equipping children with skills in music that support the syllabus outcomes of performing, organising sound and listening.

Most importantly students have fun our programs! Our teachers are passionate about music in schools, they provide positive role models and encourage the social and cultural benefits of the performing arts.

INSTRUMENTAL, VOCAL & ENSEMBLE PROGRAMS

The Orange Regional Conservatorium is here to provide a tailor-made solution to complement and expand your school’s arts program. We deliver flexible, cost-effective music experiences that are endorsed by the NSW Department of Education, these include:

  • K-6 Classroom Music Programs with our qualified music teachers.

  • Instrumental and vocal tuition.

  • Band and choir conducting.

  • Band, choral and instrumental workshops.

  • Remote delivery to schools via video conferencing.

  • Workshop tours to remote schools.

  • Free in-school concert

Many schools choose to run weekly lessons and ensembles such as school choirs, concert bands, string, brass and woodwind programs, guitar, ukulele, vocal groups, percussion groups and much more.

 PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT

The ORC partners with Musica Viva Australia to provide professional development opportunities and NESA hours for your school’s staff.

PD delivered by our own qualified music teachers and visiting professionals expands the skills of your teaching staff, helping them meet and exceed syllabus requirements.

HSC SUPPORT

HSC support programs involve a range of services including staff and visiting artist composition workshops, piano and ensemble accompaniment, dedicated musicianship classes, mentoring and lessons for students, performance venue and professional recording services.

We also work with national and international visiting artists who can provide free in-school performances, lectures and Q&A sessions for senior school students.
