The Armed Man is a collaborative event between the Allegri Singers, Orange Regional Conservatorium, Orange Symphony Orchestra and Kinross Wolaroi School.
Allegri Singers and friends are thrilled to be performing ‘The Armed Man’.
With a choir of some 90 voices, soloists and a large orchestra, this will be one of the most exciting and challenging works in their over 40 years of singing.
Allegri Singers will be joined by The Willoughby Singers, Orange Regional Conservatorium Symphonic Choir, and accompanied by Orange Symphony Orchestra.

Subtitled ‘A Mass for Peace’ this is essentially an anti-war work. The words and music are immediately captivating, from the martial, strident opening, and the shockingly visceral evocation of the reality of war, to the transcendent, exquisitely emotional movements expressing faith in the possibility of peace, this is a work you will never forget.
Inspired by the words of many different cultures and belief systems, it has a broad appeal to all of humankind.
