Orange Youth Orchestra | Concerto Concert

5th June 2021 @ 4:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Orange Regional Conservatorium
73A Hill St
Orange NSW 2800

The showcase concert of Orange’s finest young orchestral musicians, featuring 2021 Concerto Competition winner Eric Driver as soloist performing Ronald Binge’s Concerto for Alto Saxophone and Orchestra

After two decades, the Orange Youth Orchestra is still one of the great regional orchestral programs, equipping young musicians with advanced skills and repertoire in a supportive and social environment.

Each year, senior students of the Orange Regional Conservatorium partake in a Concerto Competition, auditioning to perform as a soloist with the Orchestra. The 2021 winner is young saxophonist Eric Driver, who will perform an alto saxophone concerto by 20th-century British composer Ronald Binge, under the guidance of teacher Laith Ismail and conductor Ben Macpherson OAM.
