The OSO will start the year off with a concert featuring 2 new compositions. The first has been composed by local Noel Annett, music teacher at Orange Anglican Grammar School, entitled Sketches of Notre Dame. Four movements detail the rich history of the cathedral and music composition centred there through to the modern day disaster and future hope for rebuild. The second composer is a young Spaniard by the name of David Centenera Morate. His work, The Reflexion of the Red Moon is a work for piano, flute and orchestra and David will be travelling from Spain with his family to perform the piano part, alongside David Shaw performing the flute solo. The concert will conclude with Beethoven’s 6th Symphony, Pastorale which will celebrate Beethoven’s 250 year anniversary of his birth.
