Australian Romantic & Classical Orchestra – Emerge
Aug 7 @ 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Australian Romantic & Classical Orchestra - Emerge @ Orange Regional Conservatorium | Orange | New South Wales | Australia

Emerge | Haydn, Mozart & Mannheim

Australian Romantic & Classical Orchestra is a world-class orchestra of leading Australian musicians who are dedicated to the performance of Classical and Romantic orchestral and chamber music repertoire in historically informed style on period instruments.

The second half of the 18th century was a time of extraordinary revolution in music, driven by many huge leaps in virtuosity made by musicians of the Mannheim court. Many techniques developed at Mannheim can be heard in Haydn’s much-loved ‘Drum Roll’ Symphony, and Mozart’s ‘Haffner’ Symphony and Horn Concertos were hugely influenced by the abilities of the musicians there. We are fortunate to hear one of the world’s finest horn players, Anneke Scott, performing Horn Concerto No.3 for us.

2021 Chamber Music Series

Combining our love of education and performance.

Despite the setbacks of 2020, with the Chamber Series being all but completely canceled, planning has been well underway to make sure it returns in 2021 with new music, themes and performers.

The ORC Chamber Music Series combines performance and education, the musicians visit local schools to demonstrate their instruments, perform selections of works and inspire young minds.

The professional musicians and teachers of the ORC are our greatest asset and invariably this series showcases that fact. As always, there will be music from the greatest composers of all time, exciting modern works and original compositions.

Join us for these relaxed Friday evening concerts, the perfect way to wind down the week.
