Brandenburg 2018 Regional Tour | Notturno: Music Before The Still Of Night
The musicians of the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra are world leaders in the performance of music from the baroque era. Known for their vibrant and dynamic performances, they give 21st-century life to centuries-old music, playing period instruments just like the composers intended for their masterpieces. The violinists and cellists, for example, use strings made of sheep gut rather than the steel strings you would hear a modern orchestra play on.
You can join the members of the Australian Brandenburg Orchestra in Orange on Monday 22 October 2018 for an evocative exploration of vibrant gems from the Classical and Romantic periods.
This dreamy musical program has been curated by the Brandenburg’s principal flute player, Melissa Farrow and feature works by Boccherini, Mozart and more. The unusual combination of guitar, flute and strings provides a blend with a decidedly exotic flavour and we can assure it’s an event not to be missed!
