Ana obtained her Bachelor of Music in Piano at the University of The Philippines College of Music in 1985, under the tutelage of Prof. Asuncion Laureola. Along with the piano she also learnt the viola and violin under the tutelage of Prof. Sergio Esmilla whilst at the university. Later, she continued her studies in Viola in Vienna under Prof. Herwig Zelle, then with Wolfgang Klos. She obtained her Bachelor from the Hochshule fur Musik und Darstellende Kunst in 1994. From 1999 to 2007 she worked as a Viola instrumentalist in the Real Filharmonica de Galicia, Spain, along with being a piano accompanist of the music training school for the orchestra.
Piano Tutor/Music Director
A graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, studying piano with Lyall Duke, and being accredited as a teacher of piano, Donna has always enjoyed teaching and performing. She relishes the opportunity to perform with her colleagues and students in a variety of performance opportunities.
Since then she has regularly performed with musicians in China and taught in schools, gaining extensive experience teaching both young and adult students. In 2009, Lujia moved to Australia and became a member of the Orange Regional Conservatorium shortly thereafter. Since that time she has devoted herself to all kinds of music activities in Orange, including as repetiteur for the Orange Theatre Company’s musical production of The Spelling Bee.
Lujia is known for her versatility in music, also having a strong interest in vocal performance. She has won numerous singing awards in the Orange Eisteddfods of 2011 and 2012, and has given numerous singing performances in Orange.
Meriel Owen has been involved in musical associations and societies, fostering the development of music throughout Australia since graduating from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music with Diplomas of Performing and Teaching, also A.Mus and L.Mus degrees.
She has extensive experience running a private studio in Beacon Hill, a Northern Peninsula suburb of Sydney, as well as in performance, adjudication, examining, and as a presenter of piano workshops.
Meriel undertook valuable postgraduate study with the eminent Italian Pedagogue, Lidia Baldecchi in Genoa, Italy supported by the Arts Council.
A yearn for a more leisurely lifestyle has brought her to Orange where the vitality of the music community has claimed a significant amount of her time and skills, and is on the staff at Orange Regional Conservatorium.
Meriel has also served on the Council of Music Teachers’ Association of NSW and the Australian Music Examination Board.
Kate graduated with a Bachelor of Music and a Diploma of Education in 2002. Many of Kate’s piano students have progressed from beginner to taking on the challenge of AMEB exams.
Kate enjoys teaching classical, popular and jazz piano to all ages.
Kyle Manning is a versatile contemporary performer with more than 15 years’ experience as a live and studio musician. He has performed in professional theatre in both Sydney and Melbourne and is accomplished in genres including jazz, pop, country, rock, blues and soul.
Kyle has worked with some of Australia’s leading contemporary musicians and his career highlights include performing on the same bill as INXS at the 2003 Rugby World Cup and the Princess Theatre Company production of Piano Men (Forum Melbourne, 1996).
