Early Childhood Music
The Early Childhood Music program has been designed to give young children an appreciation and enjoyment of music – we like to have FUN while we learn how to feel the music and become musical people. Not everyone is destined to be a great musician, but everyone has the capacity to be musical and find joy in song, dance and music. The trick is to start young.
Empower your child to explore the world in a musical environment by developing a sense of curiosity and delight in self-expression. The goal is to assist your child in the overall learning process and appreciation of what the musical world has to offer.
Qualified professional teachers implement programs that are a planned approach to the mental, emotional, social and physical needs of the child from birth to school age. The teachers are keenly aware that a variety of musical activities will develop in a child’s symbolic thinking, physical co-ordination, language and social interaction.
Children will gain many skills and may be motivated to learn a musical instrument, which in turn will further enhance their learning process.
Classes are designed to allow children to develop at their own pace.
This program is offered to individuals aged 5 years and below.
This program is offered on Wednesday and Friday during the school term from 9:30am – 10:10am. $110/term per child. These classes have limited numbers to ensure all children benefit from the program.
Children can sing to their heart’s content in a choral setting. They will develop pitch, the beginnings of aural, harmony and sight reading skills and learn musical concepts whilst singing in unison, rounds and partner songs. Little Singers regularly perform at the Orange Farmer’s Markets.
3:45pm – 4:30pm, $75/term
