Term 3

Welcome back to another exciting term at the ORC.

This term we will see many of our students complete their AMEB exams, perform in the 2016 City of Orange Eisteddfod and complete HSC Music exams. It is a very busy term for the students.

However, we do have some exciting concerts on the horizon and masterclass opportunities. Arcadia Quintet will be performing for usĀ on Friday, 5th August. This wind Quintet will be offering a lovely wind chamber music concert. The Arcadia Quintet will also be offering a masterclass on Saturday, 6th August. For tickets and registration please give the ORC Admin a call on 6361 7974. On Saturday 10th Septembert, the Sydney Philharmonia Choirs will also be joining us at the ORC for a day workshop followed by a concert in the late afternoon which is a great opportunity of any choristers and vocal student to get involved in. We will also have Pastance offering a free workshop and concert for the Orange community. Pastance is a celtic music group brought to the ORC in association with Musica Viva Australia. This event will be held on Saturday 17th September. This weekend will be packed as there will also be a special concert with two ORC ensembles the Come Together Choir and Encore – Adult Orchestra.

The ORC Music Scholarship applications will be open from Monday 12th September. All applications must be received by the ORC Admin by 5pm Friday 14th October.
